ARCH-7322 Daylighting Project in collaboration with Henry Wang. The Farnsworth House is a renowned architectural masterpiece designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. This iconic structure is a prime example of the International Style in modern architecture. The energy inefficiency of the Farnsworth house has also been widely discussed. The use of transparent glass surfaces, while visually stunning, posed challenges in terms of temperature regulation. Farnsworth herself expressed dismay at the house’s poor temperature control and tendency to attract insects when illuminated at night.
